Europe — A Short Overview

Comprising of 4,000,000 sq mi land area, Europe is the 6th largest continent of the world. The continent consists of 47 countries with different dependencies, territories, and islands. It is actually a peninsula that connects both Asia and Europe. On the east side, it doesn’t have any geographical boundaries. The central part of Europe is basically a western part of the Eurasian super continent. Ural mountain, Ural River, Caspian Sea, Caucasus mountains, and the black sea have separated Asia from Europe. Mediterranean Sea has separated Europe from Africa in the southern part. Atlantic Ocean is on the western part and polar sea in the north area.

The entire Europe continent can be divided into seven regions. These are-

1. Scandinavia
2. British Isles
3. West Europe
4. South Europe
5. Central Europe
6. Southeast Europe
7. Eastern Europe

The Scandinavia region consists of Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. The British Isles consists of the United Kingdom and Ireland. France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg, and Monaco form western Europe. In the southern part, Portugal, Spain, Andorra, Italy, San Mario, Malta, and Vatican City are situated. Central Europe is formed with Switzerland, Germany, Liechtenstein, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Romania, Greece, Turkey, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, and Bulgaria form South Eastern Europe. On Eastern Europe, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia are situated.

Russia is the largest, and the Vatican is the smallest country in Europe. The currency of most of the countries in Europe is Euro, and most of the countries are part of the European Union. Rhine, Volga, Ural, Danube, etc. are the main rivers of Europe. Alps, Ural, Caucus, Pyrenees, etc. are the main rivers of Europe.

European Beauty and Tourism

European countries are rich in aesthetic and natural beauty. It is always considered as the best tourist places in the world. It can be a lifetime experience traveling through different scenic spots of Europe. People from different areas of the world are residing in this county. So, it has a distinct culture apart from their own. Everything you want to visit is present in Europe, including beaches, mountains, heritage, cultural diversities, and so on. The entire Europe continent is connected with the railroad. So, traveling in Europe is more comfortable with the railway service.

The Nature of Europe

Europe is full of natural resources. It is full of minerals, soil, forest, mountains, and so on. But the most crucial support of this continent is its population.
